Taiwan's Quiet Coffee Revolution

I was commissioned by Standart Magazine in early 2023 for an article on Taiwan's coffee culture for their 30th issue. With a tight deadline, I spent the next two weeks scouting out interesting cafes, bean sellers and other experts in northern Taiwan, and even traveled to a coffee farm in central Taiwan. Though there are limitless stories all across Taiwan that would take years to explore, I found among the tales I heard and the people I met a natural parallel between the development of coffee culture alongside Taiwan's development into a thriving democracy.
